Playnasium, now gym time is play time

In Australia, 1 in 4 children are overweight or obese, and few have healthy role models. The problem is parents that find time to get to the gym, often can’t take their young kids.

The YMCA Playnasium is an innovation in gym and play equipment allowing parents to use their child’s weight as exercise weights – so they can work out whilst spending quality time with their kids. Installed in parks across Australia, the YMCA Playnasium helps parents become healthier role models, encourages children to exercise before they are even old enough to exercise.

Playnasium is branded experiential advertising that says everything YMCA stands for without having to say anything at all.

Each piece of equipment is designed for different age groups and muscle groups, helping adult and child spend quality time together. This is not only an innovative product development for the YMCA, it’s a manifestation of the YMCA’s 150 years philosophy of encouraging health through happiness.
